Anyone working in the planned giving arena in the Seattle area knows Lorraine is one of the most brilliant minds in the field. Her Practical and Inspired Planned Giving training series proved that ten times over. True to its title, it is perfect for anyone new to planned giving looking for a robust overview and toolkit, or for the experienced fundraising professional looking for some inspiration and a boost of knowledge. The magic of learning from Lorraine comes in her donor stories, role playing of conversations, and a donor-centered approach that will not steer you wrong. I cannot recommend Lorraine or this series enough!

Lorraine is one of the most skilled gift planning professionals in the country.  We met through our involvement in several professional organizations where her expertise, and insights into the leadership and planned gift process were creative and innovative.  Her commitment to donor-centered fundraising, along with her extraordinary depth of knowledge and experience, made her the best choice to conduct a comprehensive Planned Giving Assessment for our organization.

Her evaluation of the current program was absolutely on point and the recommendations she provided are being implemented to the letter.  We are already seeing the positive impact of the “roadmap” she designed for us.  It is an honor to recommend Lorraine to any organization seeking to develop, enhance, integrate, and expand their leadership and planned gift programs.

MCM has worked closely with Lorraine del Prado for more than 10 years in her fundraising role with the Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation.   During that time we shared many clients and were able to see first-hand how effective Lorraine is in building strong relationships with donors and working with them to integrate meaningful philanthropy into their lifestyles as well as their estate plans.

One of Lorraine’s unique talents is her ability to work with donors and their advisers to devise and implement strategies that allow them to elevate their giving to a level that they never thought possible.

Lorraine also brings unparalleled strength, experience and creativity to the process of developing and implementing successful long-term fundraising strategies for nonprofits.

Judith_Brownell_220x180It was my privilege to interact with Lorraine del Prado in a close and most profitable way in her capacity as Vice President and Head of Principal Gifts and Legacy Planning for Seattle Children’s Foundation.  She helped to plan and expertly guide my legacy planning to maximize my impact on Children’s, which includes a bequest, an endowment, a Charitable Remainder Trust and life insurance.  I am delighted and honored to attest to her excellent character and professional expertise.

photo_mintonLorraine is in the very top rank of gift planning professionals.  She combines a high degree of technical knowledge with an entrepreneurial spirit, which equips her to find creative solutions to donor situations and to help charities to develop innovative ways of identifying prospective donors.  She has been particularly successful at developing collaborative relationships between a charity and professional advisors.  Enthusiastic and attentive to detail, she would be an excellent guide for a charity wanting to enhance its planned and major gift programs.

Version 3I first met Lorraine at the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy’s Madison Institute. I attended the Planned Giving track and Lorraine was one of the faculty experts. As a professor at the Institute, her expertise and broad knowledge of the subject matter was of the highest quality. She has an amazing way of communicating what could possibly be a difficult conversation in the most heartfelt authentic way.  Based on the outstanding quality of her training at the Institute, I reached out to Lorraine to ask her if she would consider traveling to California to provide a comprehensive planned giving 1 day training to approximately 25 fundraisers for the Providence California Region.  Lorraine’s expertise is of the utmost quality. Her training materials were clear, concise, extremely helpful and demonstrated the true element of heart, which has been so very helpful to our major gift fundraisers. Her handouts are an essential part of our fundraisers’ tool kit for planned giving. I would highly recommend her services to any organization looking for expertise in planned giving.

Fraser-00070_5x7[3] (1)It is my particular pleasure to work with Lorraine in our shared roles as Planned Giving Track faculty members for AHP’s Fundraising Institute at Madison each year. Lorraine never fails to impress — her creative thinking, expertise in advanced gift-planning, positive ‘can-do’ attitude and professional drive make her an absolute pleasure to work with.

She is a very skilled educator, capable of easily sharing her knowledge drawn from ‘real-life’ experience at some of the nation’s finest healthcare organizations. Lorraine is an enthusiastic, personable and talented colleague. I have no hesitation in recommending her because I know that she will always deliver her very best in any endeavour.
